Never did i Ever....

In my life, i never imagined i would need sewing skills. When i was younger and imagined what my life would be like, i imagined cooking (not that i'm good at that!), playing with kids, cleaning, doing laundry, but sewing... that didn't cross my mind. Had i though i would need this skill, i would have paid attention in elementary school when the nuns at my school attempted to teach basics. i would have watched my grandmothers and my mom more and actually learned.... but i didn't.
Well, a couple of days ago, i found myself needing this skill. Bug's beloved giraffe was in need of repair. Its little head was open and it required my lacking sewing skills. I picked up my white thread and needle and sat down to repair the giraffe. And i did! After a good fifteen minutes of sewing, i finished only to notice this poor thing was missing a horn.
In horror i told Jared i had done all this work and sown the giraffe's horn inside. So, i undid all my work and started again. In taking apart the stitches i had so carefully sewn, i found out that the horn was NOT inside the giraffe, it was gone!
Things clicked in my head!!! That's how this poor giraffe ended up with an open head! Bug must have pulled on the horn until he tore it off.  After some laughter and noticing that the ear was also about to fall off, i once again became a sewing mom and attached the ear and sewed the giraffe!

Poor giraffe!
Hopefully the original giraffe won't have this same luck!
