It's not "Good-bye", It's "See you later!"

Last night our sweet grandma (Abuela) was called home! Though we knew it was coming and we are thankful she's in a better place, it hurts that she's not with us anymore. Knowing she's at peace with our Lord is a great relief; we prayed for peace and rest for her tired body. We sure do miss her and it's only been a day. Though knowing the truth of where she is doesn't stop the current pain we are all feeling here, I cannot help but be EXTREMELY THANKFUL for the time we had with her. We are also thankful that our little Bug got to know her his first year of life! He continues to be a very blessed little boy!

Play-DATE

My little Bug and his good friend Gabby had a super fun date today. We went to Starbucks, the kids shared banana bread, and then we had lunch and play time at Gabby's house! SO MUCH FUN! Gabby's mom and I had a blast watching them play and share! They are so cute!!

Tomorrow?

Today I came across an older Alli Rogers song "Closer to the Moon". I hadn't heard it in quite a while. However, it somehow summed up everything I needed to hear and many of my current feelings! The last verse defined me, especially today:

"Well I'm a river's flow, somedays I'm fast somedays I'm slow

...

some days I fill the edges, then I'm shallow and pretentious

it all depends upon the rain I got that night

well, I should never base my faith upon my sight."

I find it so difficult some days to look at our future, the choices and decisions we have to make, and have complete faith that God has it all under control. I KNOW he has our "far off" future covered! I know that 20 years from now- all will be ok; but tomorrow is a different story. For some crazy reason, I trust God with the years ahead, but tomorrow, next week, next month... those are hard for me to relinquish and remember that He knows every decision we need to make and that He will guide us in the way He needs us to go! In the midst of all my plans and lists for tomorrow I have been stopped today, and reminded that He does have it all under control! He knows what our next step needs to be even if I don't know it right now, and don't see it immediately. He will give us the wisdom to take that right step. I'm just so thankful He hasn't given up on me and keeps on reminding me... and keeps on taking care of every little thing!! Thank you Lord!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!


We are so excited about this new year! Cannot wait to see what God has in store for us. Last year was a good one and we can definitely say that God is a faithful God!
