We received a wonderful package in the mail yesterday!!! A large box from the parents! It had a roll of paper towels ( which immediately made it's way to the kitchen!), a beautiful Willow Tree, and Girl Scout Cookies!!! We had been asked for our favorites, and the only cookies i eat ever are Samoas. I have no idea why, but i LOVE those cookies! Jared got his Thin Mints, and i guess the Samoas were for both of us to share.
Yesterday though, the baby and i decided that the Samoas were ours, and Jared would just have to eat the Thin Mints!! :) After eating Samoas while watching The Biggest Looser, the baby and i wrote "Daddy" a note!
This is our new thing here. Usually any sweet,chocolaty,and/or delicious food happens to disappear when Jared gets home from work (and I'm asleep); we now write notes telling Jared the reasons why he should not eat the food. Now, the baby "writes" the notes!! He is reminded that babies need food, and nutrition. It seems to work! Jared only ate 2 or 3 Samoas and then had a some Thin Mints! :)
Besides cookies, we realized that water is not yummy, and since we need a lot we are attempting to find alternatives- fresh lemonade (or lime-ade)is our fave. drink! it allows me to drink all the water i need to drink without it being a chore. I know that I'm weird, but i cannot drink plain water-at least not usually.
We are still looking for apartments, we think we found some and we are going to send the application this week! We're still looking for jobs. Jared will finally have a day off Sunday-- maybe we'll have a date?!? We will be spending the rest of that day doing school stuff and finding jobs. Hopefully all this hard work will be worth it come May!
Bella, our crazy dog, is FINALLY potty trained, she now barks and goes to the door when she needs to go out. She still LOVES socks- mostly Jared's socks. Even though i have to make sure the closet is closed, the dirty laundry is not within her reach, and no socks are left around the room, i am glad she is a "sock- dog" and not a "Shoe-dog"! Besides socks, she has also decided she likes wires. She has successfully chewed through one of Jared's phone chargers and the cord to a massage chair thing Jared had under the bed! And she also likes snow. She's been lucky this year, since it is STILL snowing here in Clovis!
Two more months of New Mexico and of school (For me)! I can't wait! This actually just means that we have 2 months to finish a WHOLE bunch of goals we planned to accomplish-- gah! Prayers are definitely appreciated!
I also can't wait until May 13 to see my mom! So happy all 3 of our parents are coming for my graduation! I really did not expect/ plan for that at all- but it makes me VERY HAPPY!!!

Spring Break!!! :)
This year my spring break really never happened! Since we live in a different city than the one i go to school at, Spring Break did not match. Clovis had break this week, which meant that i didn't have work; Portales on the other hand, has spring break next week. This all means, that i did not get the week off i really longed for! Yesterday (Friday) was the extent of my Spring Break, no work and no school!! There were plans for such a wonderful day. My friend and coworker Megan and i were going to enjoy the sunny and warm weather and then i was going to clean and relax the rest of the day- PERFECT BREAK!!
Except, i woke up with a TERRIBLE migraine and it was super windy and COLD!!! This meant that my plans were gone! I spent the whole day in bed trying REALLY hard to get rid of the migraine. The fact that the medicine that would usually work is too strong and therefore i can't take it, and that i have a puppy who yesterday decided she wanted all the attention in the world-- well, that did not help at all!!!
I finally got out of bed with a "reasonable" headache in the afternoon and then decided that i wanted chicken rice (my mom's recipe) and mango juice! Called my mom for detailed step by step directions on how to make the rice- which did not turn out as good as hers ( i blame it on the chicken)!!! Thanks to the mangoes Jared got me earlier in the week, i was able to make mango juice- which was DELICIOUS!! :)
Good bye Spring Break!
Today was the release of NEW MOON on DVD and Blue Ray! Jared got it for me this morning which made me REALLY happy!! This evening we will be having a Twilight, New Moon marathon in my apartment. Megan, Bella, the baby, and me will be enjoying the story of high school romance between fictional characters!! :) And that will be the end of my spring break! :)
2 more months of school!! and after that HOPEFULLY we'll be moving to Blacksburg, VA. Still waiting for Tech's response!! Prayers appreciated!!
